100th Anniversary Banquet tickets
Tickets are now on sale for the 100th celebration Banquet.  The cost of the
ticket is $60.  Please see Nina Bodick.  We would like to have at least 150
people at this banquet. We must have the final count by Aug. 11.  Please purchase them as soon as possible.

His Eminence, Bishop Nikon, along with other clergy, will celebrate the
Divine Liturgy on August 18th.  The procession from the rectory with the
Bishop and Clergy will begin at 9:30 AM.  It is proper to be in Church
waiting for the Bishop to enter and welcomed by the Priest and
Council President. Please plan to be there at this time.
Although it is summer, keep in mind appropriate dress for Church and
the Banquet.

Icon of St. Herman
An Icon of the Venerable Herman of Alaska, Wonderworker of All America, which has been completed, will be dedicated to mark the 100th year of St. Mary's Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church of Stamford.  It will be blessed on this day and brought with us to the Banquet.  This Icon is being offered by Donna Erickson and Family, Harold and Jean Wahnowsky, Peter Basilevsky and Jeremiah and Barbara Driscoll.

St. Herman is a recent Saint.  It would be appropriate to learn about his work and teachings on earth which lead to his Sainthood.   Included in today's bulletin is the third part of the information about his life and teachings.

Cupola
The Cupola has been repaired and painted this week. The Cross will be worked on this coming week. Hopefully by the end of the week this project will be completed to our satisfaction.

As you noticed, the Church Hall has been cleaned and painted.  The back room, back hall, hallway leading to the church , and bathrooms have been painted.  A few volunteers worked very hard to clean up and discard things not being used.  Please do not bring anything to the church hall before consulting the church council.  Many things that are left behind with good intentions are of no use to our Church.
