Lighting Candles
There are proper times and inappropriate times to light candles.
No one should be making their way up to the front of the Church to light candles when the Epistle is being read; the Holy Gospel is being read; and when Father is delivering the Sermon;
If you arrive late for the Divine liturgy or any Church Service be aware not to become a distraction to people praying and participating in the Service.
Also, please be mindful that immediately after the kissing of the Holy Cross, special after Holy Communion prayers are read. If you don’t wish to participate, please leave the Nave quietly. Meet and greet each other with coffee and a bite to eat downstairs.
Let us be reminded that the Church Council is responsible for maintaining proper decorum during Services.
Please note: Summer is quickly approaching. Church attendance is beginning to decline because of vacations and family committments which decrease the weekly offerings substantially. However, the monthly bills must still be paid.
When you are away or unable to attend church services, please make your offerings for those Sundays when you return. Thank you for your offerings which are essential to maintain our Church.
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers of our Church.
May God Bless you and Grant you Many Years!
May God Grant Eternal Rest to all the fathers who have Fallen Asleep in The Lord. ВЕЧНАЯ ПАМЯТЬ.
